Employee Spotlight – Clayton Sigl – Systems Engineer II

At IronEdge, we’re passionate about creating great experiences, and it all starts with our exceptional team members. Every quarter, we honor an employee who truly embodies one of our core values: Teamwork, Learning, Integrity, Courage, and Ownership. This quarter, we are excited to spotlight our Core Value Champion for Integrity – Clayton Sigl. Clayton.

Clayton started with IronEdge only 6 months ago and quickly received a well-deserved promotion. Clayton was nominated by Trent Borstell, Service Desk Manager.

He models our core value of integrity through commitment and taking responsibility for providing stellar customer service for our clients. He challenges standards and processes, always clarifying through questions, for continuous improvement. Clayton’s focus on root-cause resolution and his commitment to taking on issues outside of his scope as Systems Administrator on the help desk earned him a quick promotion to Systems Engineer on our Professional Services team. Clayton sees every ticket as a puzzle. He enjoys solving these puzzles and documenting the solution, so the client never has the same issue twice.

Clayton advises new IEG team members to be inquisitive, brave, and accurate and to become the subject matter expert. Outside of working with the team, Clayton finds it important to clear his mind by playing hockey, working on vehicles or any outside recreation that gets him working with his hands and body. His hobbies outside of work have a positive impact on his mental health, allowing him to clear his mind for Monday mornings.

Congratulations to Clayton Sigl, IronEdge’s Q4 Core Value Champion!

Employee Spotlight – Brandon Yahn – Field Technician, Onboarding

We are excited to spotlight our Core Value Champion for Ownership – Brandon Yahn. Brandon has been in customer service for over 20 years, and what he loves most about working at IronEdge is the client-focused approach, ensuring they get the quality of service they need in a timely manner. Although the MSP environment is fast paced, he stays positive by looking at it through the lens of the client and says, “The client’s viewpoint puts things into perspective.”

Brandon was nominated by Krystal Arvanitis, Field Services Manager, for our Core Value Champion of Ownership! Brandon has consistently shown true ownership of onboardings. He was asked to take the lead on the project to rebuild and document the onboarding process. Though the scope has been a moving target, he embraced it and drafted a plan for a smooth process. He took on working with new team members and schedules in different departments to get automation going and make the process more efficient.  His dedication to the process has been crucial to our success. This is one process that affects every single department at IronEdge from Sales to HR to Operations to Procurement!

His advice to new team members at IronEdge is to be coachable and ready to learn. He recommends to truly disconnect when you’re not at the office because having a healthy work/life balance is better than burnout. Brandon says he has stayed at IronEdge through the M&A process because the new IEG Culture is built with individuals who never surrender and never leave a teammate behind, offering help to whoever needs it.

Congratulations to Brandon Yahn, IronEdge’s Q2 Core Value Champion!
