Problem

IronEdge Group case study - Curtis Wagner Plastics

Founded in 1992, Curtis Wagner Plastics is a leading plastic manufacturing company located in Houston, Texas. After experiencing failure with their aged server, domain controller and inability to use QuickBooks accounting software, the Curtis Wagner team needed a new, secure and reliable solution to access company data. At the same time, Curtis Wagner Plastics wanted to enhance workflow, safeguard their IT infrastructure and accommodate their distributed workforce.

Solution

IronEdge Group implemented a multi-faceted strategy to secure the company’s work environment and allow employees to retrieve data remotely in a new, cloud-based environment. IronEdge conducted a Microsoft SharePoint migration, organized the current file system and enhanced security by customizing access to designated users. IronEdge then leveraged the newly implemented migration tool to transition the company PCs from the failed domain controller to Azure Active Directory with minimal user downtime. When transitioning the team to QuickBooks in the cloud, IronEdge provided user access training to support a more flexible workflow and positive user experience.
